Hello,
Just wondering what you fellow BArfers run on the track with the 2ct's? I was thinking maybe a 32f/34r combo? Let me know your set ups..I am a mild B rider at best (so far)..
Coolz
Mods, not sure if you should transfer this to Trackdays..Ty!

I run standard PP at 30/30 and it works just fine. 32/34 is a bit high for the track.

Cool, I also heard that since the rear heats up a lot more than the front, one should run the rear at a lower pressure like 30 front and 28 rear to adjust the pressure accordingly? Is that justifiable, or is this other person wrong.?
Oops, thaNKS CosMO, you read my mind!!

The Motoshoes crew recommended R28 F30 at Infineon. I tried it and they were surprisingly good with a nice homogeneous wear pattern.

Yeah, Brian from Motoshoes told me 30/30, but different bike/pace? Worked just fine for me though. Tire stuck amazingly well and wear was great.
I was at the track and supposedly the dunlop guy told this dude I know that he should run 24PSI in the rear :wtf on his 2CT this guy is pretty big but I told him not to run such a low pressure and that only the michelin race tires run that low. He ran it like that all day on a gixxer1000 without any probs but if it were my bike, I would try out 32/30

I run 30/30... every track day. Every track.
When it's rainy or real cold, I lower it a bit more, maybe to 28/28.

Ok, so I ran a decent B pace with most guys running race tires and not any sort of slippage a..Love these tires and the turn in is quite quick.I was not even close to it's full potential cuz I was tentative at some spots when running on the front straight as well as the back straight into turn 14-15..I was rolling at T1 doing approx 130-140 then diving into turn 1 at approx 100(i happened to glance real quick at my speedo mid turn watching Cory Call's GF slide by me as well as the MAn Himself in front). All that said, the 2cts held their own..:cool

I dont have a clue how fast I was going in T1 @ willows.. I just know my rear tire lifted off the gound during braking and my heart was pounding

the pressure for them will vary a little, depanding on track temp, pace, and bike... but should be between 30-36. i tend to go a bit lower in that range, because i want the tire to heat up and stick (my first concern), but steering will be a little slower. Once i can see the tire wear after a session and it looks like the tire is heating up properly, then i may bump up the pressure a bit to get the bike to steer faster and the tire to last longer.

i ran the 30/20 combo and seemed to work fine..I was thinking of running 208 Gp's next track day just so I can push it a lil harder. Also, whatcha think about the Stones 002?

i would bump that rear tire pressure up quite a bit, especialy now that it is getting a lot hotter. go to at least 30....
i believe the 208s are about the same level as the PP. if you want to push it more you will have to go to current generation race tires (ie the 209, Power Race, or the Supercorsa's). i have 0% experience with the bridgestones, and have heard mixed reviews.
