Guys, come out and watch the women track riders who will soon be riding around you like you are a pylon. Z² Track Days is having a Women's VIP day at Thunderhill on June 26 with a special women's only riding group. We all know women riders are much better students than men and our women instructors are the best in the biz. This might be the last time you'll get to hang out with these women before they start passing you like you're riding backward.
Some key points for this event:
* The all-women's group is replacing the regular C group that day.
* Faster women can sign up for and ride in their regular group (Advanced or Intermediate) and ride in the women's group as well.
* Men are encouraged to come ride in the A or B group.
Sign up here: Women's VIP Day (http://tinyurl.com/39yukd)
Flyer:

Also, feel free to print out the flyer and give it to whomever you please. Here's a nice pdf. (http://home.comcast.net/~dbenj/women.pdf)
Let me know if you have any questions. Fun, fun, fun!

Quick question: When signing up should the women sign up for their normal group (a-b) and then automatically be included in the women's group or will it be the other way around?

Women should sign up for their normal group. If you ride in C, or it's your first time on the track, sign up for the Women's group. If you ride in A or B, sign up for the A or B group. You'll be included in the Women's group automatically.

Wow, nice marketing twist :laughing
It's all about expanding the target audience. ;)
On the other hand, others may call it sexist and discriminatory.

Question:
Can I post something like that but in reverse? You know, saying Men are better students or riders or whatever? Or would I be sexist then?

From my experience, the men are more aggressive but tend to crash more too. Women pay attention to the instructors and apply what is taught right away. Using skill to go faster rather than testosterone. I think a lot of guys go to track days with the "I paid hard earned dollars to go fast, so that's what I'm gonna do" mentality. So they lose sight of the learning aspect and concentrate on the thrill aspect.
Or you could liken it to a guy asking for directions when lost.... :teeth

I'm not arguing with it, hell I agree with it. In fact, I'm more or less being sarcastic. I just think it's kind of funny that if I said that in reverse, I would, without a doubt, be a "sexist pig" or something along those lines.

Good question! A girl cut t-shirt would be awesome, instead of the big boxy boy t-shirt styles... :boobies
I can't wait for this event, thank you to Zoom Zoom for putting it on!

Yep. Welcome to the world of double standard. :laughing

Ah? What? Chicks only???? Booriiiing....
And who's gonna provide the smell, the adrenaline, the crashes, the bragging and the posing???
:laughing
So, how much such a special XX-riding privilege costs?
Where there is marketing, there is always a price hike.
On the other hand, it will be a nice change to be stripping one's clothes without anyone openly oggling at you. Sweet!:applause
Here is an idea. While Z2 at it, maybe they can have a special track day for:
1. Russians only
2. Cat lover only
3. People with white pick up truck only
4. ...(I have more ideas but I will have to start charging Z2 for it from now on...)

Hasn't anyone realized this program is missing an absolute necessity for a successful day?
We need Umbrella Hunks. Men in nothing but leopard-print thongs to shade us ladies whilst waiting in the hot pits. They must also serve as pit-bitches during sessions, set up our pit areas, wrench on our bikes, fan us with palm leaves and overall be our personal slaves.
Any volunteers?

Svetlana, not all women are such brave, confident creatures like you that they can get their bikes out there on a track with smelly, aggressive men and hold their own! Now, unless you want to keep all the men in this sport to yourself, as a chick I'd think that you'd be in support of other chicks taking up this rewarding hobby and becoming safer, more competent riders... ;)

Oh and besides, there will still be plenty of dudes to go around in A and B groups, and since I'm assuming you're not a C group rider anymore, you'll get double sessions in both A or B and the women's session. I'd love to see experienced female riders like you out there to inspire others! :thumbup

Speaking of which...I forgot to introduce myself. This is Danna, Chris' (6'4 guy, dark hair) woman. (You Zoom Zoom clan may remember me - I hang out and sleep on tables while he rides. I'm the short chick, dark hair, used to race at willow springs, had the turn 8 getoff in front of the Reilly's; am Cassie & Jason's friend, have had a bastard of a disabling spinal tumor for four years, blah blah blah...)
I might just sign up for this day. An all-girl group could be interesting. Fewer crashes, but a whole lotta girls secretly thinking "my leathers are SO much hottter than hers". And its about time I ride. Been over four years that I've been stuck laying down chewing on morphine pills. Was finally able to start PT a few weeks ago and I think I'll be strong enough (and un-drugged enough) to get back on the track.
Can you fall off from going so slow? Is there a D group? Or Group Slowass?
I also want to thank the wonderful people from Zoom Zoom while I'm at it. It was great to meet all the instructors. Chris, Kathy & Shawn, John Foreman, (who took the new racers' school w/me at Willow in 1995 which I uh...failed the first time due to a little incident involving me sliding on my ass up turn three) and the rest of you were so welcoming, friendly, and presented excellent classroom presentations.
A very special thank you to Caroline Bachelor (hope I spelled that right). She so kindly loaned me all her gear so Stevie could take me for a spin. And Stevie, whew, what a ride!!! That was very, very special experience for me. After spending over four years of literally living on the couch and being in severe pain 24/7, the sheer exhilaration those few laps while clinging to you like a little monkey was like a trip to the moon. You made me forget all the back pain for a week and gave me a post-ride perma-smile.
And, of course, I can't forget the sweet and charming John Fosgate. Remember me, John? Particularly that time after I chopped all my hair off? You observed my shorn locks and said, with all your heart, "Your hair is so short, you almost look like a guy now!"
I'm really looking forward to seeing all of you. You run a great school and I should be physically able to ride by June, so long as I don't pass out from the heat. Your instructors, lessons, entire program, everything - is great and I've been recommending you to everyone who is considering a track day. Hope to see you ladies and guys soon...

No price hike. Go check out the site. If I can get you smells, adrenaline, posing and ogling, do you mind if I charge you extra?

Nix on the pantyhose; but if you wax them gams, have a pedicure and get a good shade of naughty-girl lipstick on straight, you can hold my 'brella!
