Summertime is best time to go. As Miran mentioned, "Knez Mihailova" is a famous pedestrian street with many cafes and beautiful buildings dating back to 1870.

The street has been named one of the most beautiful pedestrian zones in Eastern Europe.

I think you mean the cigarette, cappuccino, and vodka diet. Its also the reason why they all look like hell by 35.

I didn't get to talk to many, when I was swinging through that area it was at the end of a long backpacking trip, clothing was in tatters, pockets were almost empty.
