First time found her on accident when the dog spooked of off while on a walk. Looked around, found 13 eggs, and went back a few times to make sure she went back to her nest.

Over the past few weeks I've been going back now and then to take a peek, getting closer the more I went. Was wondering when her eggs would be hatched and found out today they have.

From all the times I've gone back she tolerates me getting close. Today was kneeling less than three feet away and had the camera closer than two. Watches me, but doesn't do anything. My dog got too close (around 4 feet) as I was taking pictures and got hissed at. Told her to get back and mama mallard was fine.

Cute little things

Original size is 14x10. Think I'll put them on my photography site to see if they sell

Was just looking at the photos and you can see the little beak that helps them crack the shell.

Use the zoom function button to get a really close look

awe.

we get baby ducklings every year around this time. somebody built little ramps so that they can walk in and out of the fountain pool by our building.

I've seen alot of males and females waddling around town as well. spring is in the air!
