That was a fun one to watch :)
Did Sorenson crash out or drop out?

Ken did not start, Mesa tipped over in the same spot as Tigert but waited until coming to the white flag to do it ;-(
(We had a nice chat while the other kids finished the last lap)
I heard that Sorensen's bike quit operating or had Italian parts fall off (unconfirmed).
Bell protested Randolph for passing under a yellow........
Bell crashed out trying to repass while pissed of because of the pass in question.
Lots and lots of action.

Was Bell's protest upheld?

Lots of action is an understatement. You guys were absolutely pounding on each other. I think the top 5 were all pulling :41's. That was one of the funner FP races I've seen in a while. I'm just glad everyone walked away.

It could not be confirmed if the pass was completed before or after the 'incident' (Tigert's already removed bike). So it was denied.
It was really a sad combination of things that occurred that ended up contributing to Bell's exit. Yellow flag displayed - no obvious reason - Bell understandably thinking he had been 'wronged'.
Bummer.

That was probably the best FP I've ever been a part of .... Intense as it gets, I was thinking someone would make a mistake and take out 3 guys at once because we were so close for so long! Of course I didn't see everything as I was in 2nd for the first part of the race and could only 'feel' the bikes behind me.
I can't wait for an extensive write up to read what I missed. :-)

John,
Can you try to link it again as I can't see it?
Thanks,

The file is too big I'll send it to any one who wants it until I can find a place to post it
