READ: Final Details For Saturday!!!!

Ok Peeps.........This is the agenda for the evening:

There is going to be a $5 per person fee/admission.
That 5 bucks will cover your food for the evening, plenty of pizza and soda. If you want any alcohol, you gotta buy it yourself.

When you arrive at 7 PM , we'll collect your $5 before you enter our reserved room and you will be given a name tag(this sounds gay, but there are reasons), on this name tag your "screen name" will appear, and by your choice your real name will appear right below it, but your "screen name" is a must. If you are not registered on the site, than a "NR" will appear above your real name.

The name tag serves 2 main purposes:

1) We know who paid. So, if ya didnt pay then ya dont eat.......we are trying to avoid "free rides".

2) To identify whos who, without going through "Hi, my name is______, and you are??" about 50 different times. This way you can just look and think "so thats what that arrogant mofo looks like"...........without actually saying a word to him/her........:D :D

When you receive your name tag, you will be asked what kind of pizza you'd like. We will be keeping track so we will know what to order.

At 7:40 we'll be ordering the pizza, we will let everyone know how many and what will be ordered.

At 8:00 hopefully the pizza will be served, a little speech by Steve, a video presentation by BTB, then some videos.

After that who knows...........:D :D


If there is any money left over, that money will be used towards future socials, IT WILL NOT BE USED TO PAD POCKETS............as most of you know, that is not what BARF is about.

Thanks for posting the low-down, Instance!

I'd just like to add that this plan is based on what we've learned at our numerous previous socials. We've tried different techniques in the past...

- everyone for themselves (sucked)
- everyone split the bill after eating (really sucked)
- purchase per-table (also sucked)

So far each of these has had its own set of flaws. We constantly look to improve the socials and this seems to be the best plan yet. :cool

How about interested south bay riders meet up at 76 station on 1st at Brokaw? We could head up 101 from there? Say around 6:30-45?

280S, exit Woodside Rd., East to ECM hang right? or Sand Hill road & backtrack better? hmm, cruisin' past Stanford :teeth

other north bay riders want to hook up and get lost together?

Yeah that sucked, I was going to run some erans, I took the cage instead. Glad I did cause it was actually monsoon downpuor out on 280. As soon as I got to Santa Clara though the sun was out! I hate when that happens.
