Ok, here is the deal. I have a '92 RGV 250 that I seized the motor on. I took it to a friend who was gonna get her running again and never did. I had the cylinder replated, crank checked, new Barnett clutch and a new top end. The bike sits in piece. I am wondering if I should sell in pieces and let somone else put it together or if it's worth the additional money I may get selling her in running condition.

Details Good:
1992 RGV 250 (California title as special construction)
LE serviced forks
Ohlins rear shock
Jolly Moto pipes
Quick turn throttle
Graves clip ons

Details bad:
No factory body work
Frame, forks, swingarm and wheels have been polished.
In pieces...not running

What do you think she is worth as is? $3,000?

What do you think she is worth in running condition? $4,000?

Personally, as a roller, I'd say it's not worth 3K. I'd guess $1000-$1500. But that's just my opinion.

Well, keep holding on to it until you have more. The title alone has gotta worth $1000.

Did you miss the part about the Ohlins shock and Jolly Moto pipes? You coudn't touch those parts alone for $1000

how miles miles on chassis? on crank? If I had the garage space to work on it, I would already have bought it. I have only a"stall" and I'm trying to get rid of the bike that is there. I think its worth way more than 1,500..... bump

Based on what the guy I bought it from told me, and how many miles I rode it, I believe about 12,000k.

I am afraid if I put it back together, I won't sell it. I saw that Tyga has a new body kit for it. Looks :cool

I am kinda in the same situation as you. My work space is occupied by my race bike. A lot of moving shit around to work on a project.

i purchased a non-running TZR250SP (1993) a few years ago for about 3K-ish (don't remember). The front cylinder wasn't working and it needed a new bore/ni-cil coat and piston and it ran again. Again it was complete - just not running. the bodywork wasn't original either as it had the 24hr endurance front end.

I later sold it running (although not jetted well) with dogfight pipes and new tires for low 4K.

Put it back together....it doesn't take very long, especially if the motor is already done and just needs to be put in place. All you need to do is mount motor and engine cradle, mount cans, connect the powervalves and carbs.

Several months ago, someone offered me $7000 for my 94 plated RGV. The offer may have been on the high end, but someone offered. But yeah, didn't want to sell

Not the fancy-pants, trick, kit one. It's the one that came on a '92 M model. I know the trick ones are hard to find and pricey as a result. Did you see your pic sequence? Yikes....glad you are ok.
