I need advice on how to bleep throttle the proper way?
Do I grab the brake and bleep throttle and down shift simultaneously or do I shift while bleeping throttle then brake?

any advice given is greatly appreciated...

Let me re-phrase my question..... How do you downshift two or three gears at a high rate of speed without locking your rear tire, before you take a slow turn. How do I smooth this out. One of my friend told me to give it a quick rev on the throttle when I go down gears... And if that's the case do I do it while braking and shifting or shift first then brake :confused . The scenario I do is I down shift while braking and a lot of times I get a rear hop... And don't have a money for slipper clutch :teeth

downshift with the clutch in, ease the clutch out to smooth the transition, pull the clutch in again if you need to downshift, downshift, ease it out to ease the transition, adnausium (spelling?). No slipper needed, no blipping needed, and you can brake hard into hairpins without needing a slipper.

Example: Blipping raises the RPMS to "ease" downshifting, right? Well, what does downshifting do? It raises the RPMS, and as you ease the clutch out the RPM's drop to an appropriate level, allowing the next gear to slot into place. No need to include the extra throttle roll motion.

Plus, what if you're barrelling down a hill, near redline, and you need to down shift? Do you blip it off the limiter? Do you just wait til it comes down in the RPM's so you can blip? It's an old habit, and while many still have it, I genuniely don't believe it's need (and many professionals are in agreeance).

Robert, any Go-Fast-At-The-Track lessons must be booked directly through 1nsanity since he is MackeyStingray's manager as well as Elskipador.

And yes...Calvin (MackeyStingray) is really that badass.

Perfect time for me to see the link to JP's post. I am always bleeping at the throttle instead of blipping it.

And I'm always dumping the clutch. - I am about as smooth as a Rhino butt with hemorrhoids.

pull in the clutch, downshift, then blip the throttle(just like your revving at a stoplight to show off) and let out the clutch. its a very fast motion and i use to do it in my car now its how i downshift ever time on my bike.

Go down a straight piece of road at a safe but decent pace, then start slowing down (not hard track braking as you are trying to learn here) and start clicking down shifts. Every down shift work on slipping the clutch nice and gentle so that the bike never bucks or jolts. Keep going over and over until you are smooth on the clutch. As you get that down practice more and more with harder braking forces.

I can't explain how I blip, I just pull in the clutch, give a little throttle, shift and ease out the clutch all at once. But it is the smooth release of the clutch that does all the work.

Being smooth on the clutch like being smooth on the brake and throttle just make the whole bike feel better.

We shot some cool video of Pridmore while at Miller last week. I'm working on finding a good lap- until then here are some downshifts for thought:
