Olympia is getting rid of last years inventory on their site.

Just recieved a pair of their top of the line gloves (the 335). Only $25 in the internet special section and seem well built. Even have Kangaroo palms. I would say they are about the same quality as the Racer gloves I was looking at a couple of weeks ago. Maybe a little better design even. Fit about the same too.

Ignore their sizing chart. I normally wear a medium glove but the chart said I was an XL. The mediums I ordered fit fine. (ignore this, I suck at rulers apparently)

I have no connection to Olympia. Just wanted to pass it on.

Chart says i'm medium. Does that mean i should order a xsmall?

Btw, the order form seems very... low tech. Almost to the point where it doesn't look legit.

Ok never mind the sizing thing. Apparently I suck at rulers. went back and measured again and it shows me as a medium. Not sure what I was doing before, especially since I checked about 10 times cause it didnt make sense.

Yeah the order form is super low tech but I got mine no problem. I think its basically an email form that someone then reads and puts the order together.

These are good value too.

Not the most supple but crash-tested twice (pretty high speed) and they held up very well.

Go with perforated leather over mesh. You would be surprised how handy your hands are in absorbing impact and abrasion. Gloves to me are pretty much the 2nd most important gear after the helmet.

Yay!
My order arrived today.
Their 'Protector' glove for $25! (was $99)

They fit, I sized using their sizing tool thingie. I just opened the box and tried them on, haven't ridden with them yet, but they seem great.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale!

So everytime I read Silly Sod's posts, I imagine its Bill Nighy as Davey Jones from Pirates of the Carribean talking, and it comes off very smooth and cinematic.
...and he's probably right about the gloves.

well, the mediums I just got are big for me so does anyone want them for the ad price + shipping for $33?

Port4mance

Well I just got my gloves today and I must say that they are probably worth the cost. Definitely not high end gloves. The Joe Rocket gloves I got from New Enough a few months back for the same prices are 10 times better.

I'll sell mine for $20 is somebody wants them.

Port4mance, which ones did you get (and what size/color)? I'm interested if they're M and actually fit me.

If they aren't M, I'm interested in yours all_xs

I think they only have the black ones left.
PM me if you can't get hold of Port4mance.
I'm in Concord and ride Redwood often. I'll be out there tomorrow evening and I'll lower it to $30 even:teeth

Maybe the post should have read, "Good gloves, cheap"

The 'Protector' gloves I got for 25 bucks are really nice, seem to offer great protection (haven't tested 'em yet ;) ) and fit well. And guess what? They don't say Alpinestars, Dainese, Prada or Gucci.

I generally agree with the philosophy "You get what you pay for." Certain brands constantly deliver quality but that doesn't mean that quality only comes from certain brands.

These aren't cheap gloves. They're simply a great bargain. :thumbup

I bought a blue pair and a black pair. size M. I'm looking for a bike now, ideally in blue. If I end up with a blue bike, I'll keep the blue and sell the black. Otherwise, keep the black and sell the blue.

Whoa, that reminds me of the selsun blue commercial. "Don't wear black without the blue, selsun blue." lol

Bill Nighy's the money. Right up there with Christopher Walken. :teeth

As far as good cheap gloves for the summer that's been crash-tested? I'll chime in my Joe Rocket UFO gloves. Crash-tested, and I still wear it to date.

I picture an old Brit with gnarly teeth and hard alcohol on his breath.

been riding with the gloves for a bit now and finally got to go on trip with them. Dont seem to have stretched out much even though it was hot and I was sweating in them.

I also noticed looking at the tag that the knuckles are actually real carbon-kevlar, not the fake look alike stuff.

Also interesting to note that olympia is actually a glove maker, not just a rebrander so there is a good chance many name brand gloves are actually made by olympia.

I ordered a second pair.

Just bought a pair :teeth Thank you for the heads up!

After seeing how well those A* GP Plus' held up from the guy on the 636(?) hitting a deer on Palomares, I'm pretty much done withy buying any A* gloves.

Damn I just caught this thread after I bought these (http://www.olympiagloves.com/glovedetails/340.html) at Mission Motorcycles :(

Oh well I had my coupon from Zoom Zoom and Wendy and the crew are very nice and extremely helpful. This was my first set of "racing" gloves and I really needed to try on every glove to find the right fit. I was planning on AlpineStars but the Olympia's were the best fit, had wrist protection, kelvar reinforced stiching and a bit of venting.

Maybe I'll just have to order another pair since I like their products. :nerd
