Arai Profile Italy Flag helmet (even though I'm not Italian?)

It's time for me to get a new helmet, and I'm really digging the Arai Profile with the Italy Flag graphics. Can I get this helmet even though I'm not Italian? I was thinking of getting it because of my Italian bike. And I'm not worried about having this helmet longer than my bike, or getting a non-Italian bike.

(Let's not talk about the fit of the helmet. I've tried many helmets on over the past week, and the Profile is great for my long oval head. I'm not set on this helmet only because of the graphics. I found the helmet that fit me best, then looked at colors.)

It's not really an Italian flag. It's a checkered (or chequered) flag with the Italian flag colors (or colours) accenting it. I think it's perfect... if you ride an Italian bike. :2cents

Arai's can be found for cheaper elsewhere. i got my QuantumII (more expensive model) w/ full graphics for 500$ shipped. i like the design, but from the pics, it doesnt even look like most ppl will get that its modeled after the Italian flag... theyll just wonder y your helmet is green on one side n almost orange on the other.

oh n does the shape of the Profile fit your head?? more important than color...

If you like it, go for it. I dig the graphics. The front view looks nice... i don't think people's first impression of seeing it would be 'Hey, that guy's italian (or mexican), unlike seeing a Union Jack would be for Brits.

If the helmet fills you with pleasure when you look at it and with pride as you strap it on, and fits your head, that's really all that matters.

As a female, I have to say I find the Italy flag design not exciting or eye-catching. And though I love red and green, the color scheme just doesn't seem balanced to me. Now the Sensu design -- that's kinda hot, with the red, yellow, black, white and silver. But with the Profile helmet you could also just get a solid red, white or yellow helmet too. Which would be more eye-catching for the typical cager and cheaper for you too.

I love the Flag design on the profile!!!! I really really wanted the Flag UK design because 1) i love british bikes and 2) I was born in England.

I was dead set on buying it till I tried on the Shoei RF-1000 and found that it fit my head perfectly and figured it would be a wiser choice. I say since the helmet fits you go for it!

I don't see the Italian flag ... just Gucci colors. Plus if you want to be a goomba and you're not really a dago, it's like Italians who are iggers.

Maybe this is a helmet for Mexicans.

I love that helmet too and I ride an Italian bike. But it's $500 and I already have an arai profile and being in so cal they might think I'm displaying a mexican flag. LOL.
