Green/Red sticker question

I know some will think this is a dumb question, but does a street legal bike need a sticker?

I have an 86 XL600 and it appears to be totally stock and it is currently registered for street, would I need to worry about stickers?

Your street plate will get you in. Your fine. My DRZ has a Vermont street plate.
