Do they exist? Is it possible to see one soon?
I'm guessing the electronics involved will make it too heavy and bulky, but it was just an idea I had browsing some stuff..

I may be wrong here but I don't think that fuel injection is that important when there is only one cylinder... See, there is no carb sync problems on thumpers ;) :teeth
Also, the way dirtbikes are abused, the simpler the better. I don't think electronic, captors, etc... would take the abuse very well.
But again, what do I know...

My buddy has a 2000 MX400 Cannondale that is fuel injected.
Once past the initial teething problems (bike was 1 of the first 500 sold to the public), it is a fun bike to ride. The best thing about it is that he can go anywhere, roll it out of the truck & ride. No elevation induced jetting issues.
Personally, I do not know if I want that much tecnical crap on my bike. I like the fact that I can usually diagnose & repair anything trail side.
But then again I didn't like it when they started putting powervalves on bikes back in the 80's. ;)

there is also a company making some FI conversions for the yzf400/426
The new Gas Gas 4-strokes (400 and 450 and soon to be 250) are fuel injected as well. I have heard nothing but good things about the FI on them.
It's the wave of the future, get ready to buy your computers.
