first ever moto jeans ive bought. the denim quality is superior compared to my ECKO jeans i used to wear when riding. it feels like it has a smooth silk coating on the outer skin...i would guess for easy sliding if anything? i wasnt satisfied regards the knee protection. i expected to be a neoprene or some type of knee padding behind the pant where the knee meets but instead, there is a small air vent and another layer of cloth. even my BDU work pants have knee protection pads! pockets seem to be very small but i guess its build like that for a reason (objects falling out pockets when riding?). overall, i give it 8.5/10 because of the weak knee protection and can be pricey for jeans itself. the material is great and the jeans look fantastic.

Isn't that extra fabric in the knee portion the place where you put their own ICON knee pads?

i dont know of any riding jeans that come with knee pads. You'll have to buy your own and wear underneath. The extra cloth is probably kevlar for added abrasion-resistance.

only jeans that do come with REAL armor is from Vansons but it'll be cheaper and better off getting separate armor and wearing it underneath the jeans..

yea I have the recon jeans from Icon and they are vented, and have the kevlar in the knees, but they fit so loose that it seems like it'd probably be pretty useless in a fall. I'd love to see some butt-protection too.

Mine hella shrank and are kinda snug now so I dont think they would be very useless in a fall. But I like em and they look cool

I wear the Cortech DSX Denim Pants (http://www.metricbikes-superstore.com/product_info05.php?products_id=12552). They look like normal jeans, but they've got removable CE armor in the knees and perforated leather sewn into the seat to protect your butt.
