I had a one piece custom suit by Z Leathers (in So. Cal) for years. Post-baby they just aren't going to cut it and so it's time for new leathers. Despite the advances in women's leathers over the last decade, there still isn't anything off the rack that fits. So here is the info I'm looking for about custom suits:
If you own something made by Helimot:
1) What do you like about the suit.
2) What do you NOT LIKE about the suit.
What other options are local other than Bates -- saw them at Moto GP didn't like them because of they way they cut suits for women. What else is there?
Good thoughts.
besides Helimot , there is also Zooni custom leathers...
both have high regards by many track enthusiasts and racers but the Helimot has an slight edge over Zooni due to experience and more attention to details in which a regular person may not even be aware about...
g'luck...
When I asked for somewhat similar information, the following is what I got:

May be of some help to you if you hadn't already seen it.

i've had my helimot 1 piece suit for over 12 yrs with 2 crashes. it is really high quality stuff. the suit is still in great shape minus some scuffs but no tears. unfortunately i've outgrown it :teeth
my vote is for helimot even though its bank!

Yay, I'm glad I stumbled across this thread, otherwise I would have posted one of my own. I was talking about gear with my neighbor yesterday and he highly recommended Helimot.

:confused From what I hear, for me to have a jacket made would be cheaper than the Dainese jacket I want. ...I shall have to find out for myself. :)

that could be true. i haven't visited Helimot in years. all i know is that their 1 piece suits were pretty expensive. but you get what you pay for!

Helimot prefers to make 1piece suits, less chance of separation. I have had 2 suits from him, one with a 70+mph crash on Skyline, and only the logos scrubbed off.

You can also try Johnson Leathers in SF. They got famous from providing leather jackets to harley riders. But not many may know that they do custom track suits. They are less expensive then zooni and helmot. The last suit i got came out pretty well with excellent fit. Unlike helmot or zooni they use tpro type-b aromor in their suits. However they are not as well know and i think the suit was not as snug as i like but overall it was well done.
