... i tell ya, one thing is nice.
Stuff is cheaper !
I bought every piece of gear I think I need for trail riding for $400 shipped. ( Helmet, goggles, jersey, elbow pads, gloves, pants, boots (SIDI's no less), knee guards.)
My street leather jacket was over $400.
Riding on "the track" -- track days on the street are $150-$200.
Going to a dirt bike park is ... what, $4 ???
HAHAHA !
Don't even start on tires....

Actually I bought a yearly pass for Hollister. It's like $30 a year and I go at least 2-3 times a month. Also service is A LOT easier and cheaper on dirtbikes. :teeth :thumbup
The only thing I hate is cleaning the air filter... :x

Hey Pierre how do you clean your air filter???? I was told by someone else to use gas, cleans real good but I dont know if thats the proper procedure.

No, just use warm water with dish soap in a bucket. Gas is ok for emergency cleanup between 2 heats during a race.
Then make sure you dry the filter very well after you're done cleaning it. Put it in a plastic bag (like safeway bag) and add the filter oil. You can then massage from the outside of the bag without having oil all over your hands. Make sure there is oil all over the filter but that it is not dripping. Put it back in the airbox. That's it! ;)

The oil is not supposed to dry. If it is dripping out of the airbox, you put to much :wow

I use No-Toil filter stuff on a Uni foam filter, stuff works great you mix up like a quarter cup of the cleaner (like super soap) in a small bucket of warm water soak the filter for a minute or so wring it out a couple of times and it looks like new! Let the filter dry then oil (they give you some super tacky stuff) I use gloves to seems to be a little easier then the bag, No-Toil oil is red so when you put it on you can see where it's going just put enough oil to make the entire filter tacky not dripping. I give it like 15 minutes to sit out then grease the filter seal and reinstall. Remember to grease the seal!

(OnTopic), deep down i think i only got into dirt because of the gear. c'mon, name ONE cooler piece of gear than a chest protector?:p
(OT) I generally over oil my filters (on accident) and let it drip out all over my floor and sometimes my carbs. Although I am getting better.
