It just hasn't caught on.
The original 50 craze was based on backyard race circuits, which even spread into adult 50 classes at mx parks.
I think it's just the novelty of it..:confused
fiddy just sounds cooler than sevitty??
:laughing
But wouldnt a 70 be more fun? More power, more legroom??
But your right Marco, you lose the cool "fitty" name..
BBR makes everything you need too. Topclamp, Bars, Footpegs, Pipe, Skidplate...etc..

Exactly like Bad Dad said just not as popular, plus 70's are much larger the idea is to get the smallest bike possible and hop it up, if you go up to a 70 a 100 is not that much bigger then why not a 150 there are plenty of parts for those models to but just not as many as 50's. 50's are cool cause they are small enough that you can toss (lift with the legs!) them into the back of a car and go ridding, plus you don't get hassled by the puplic/police as much because being so small they are more of a novelty item than a motorcycle.

Exactly what volls said.
We were behind a warehouse, which was within earshot of some houses one night stunnin the fiddies.
Sheriff rolls up. Looks at us and says "are you the guys we got called about?" with a WTF?? type look on his face. He got a call about motorcycles doin donuts and racing. When we told him yes, he just dropped his head and laughed at us...
But is a XR 70 really put in the same class as the XR 80 and 100? The 70 is autoshift 3 speed with what, 10" or 12" wheels.
You both DO have very good points though.

buy 1 and you won't be able to hang with me and my FIDDY friends. You will be an outkast. You will be shunned as "the different one"..:laughing
I better buy a FIDDY then so I can hang with YOUR friends:LMAO

my good friend has a 50 track at his house, try to take anything bigger than a 50 through it and it will kill you.
the 70 seems like too much of a comprimize to me, it's too big to be a small bike, yet too small to be a good play bike. that's just i feel, but it might be the perfect little bike for you.
it's size was the main reason: peeps as well as cops don't sweat you that much, since it seems more of a play toy than a real bike...everyone that has seen on my neighborhood has given praise..and this is the same peeps that give me dirty looks on my 954 lol...
Im going with the 50 because all the best mods are for it and I want to play with all of the other kids. I still think the 70 would be more fun.
amateur racing divisions for adult 50 riders?? thats pimp i'm down. plus you learn good control for bigbike stunnin which the same could be said for the 70.
dunno its just an addictive toy. not supposed to make 100% sense :nerd

I rember some guy on stuntlife say 70's are for people that suck to much to ride a 50 and can't handle a 100 :twofinger
I was riding a KDX 110 at Hayward Kawasaki all day on Saturday. That think was fun as hell but still not a 50.

if you had to guesstimate the size of this yard with the track, how big would you say it is?
I got 25" x 25" im itching to use for something useless.

Hop-up kits don't count a 88cc is still a 50 at least in size right, I heard that kit is killer tho good one for the money the 125 would be nice but they are rather pricey 88 is supused to have great torque....I'd go for the 88 with a clutch kit, course I still need a 50 you guys probably saw it already but here is what I want...Jesse James Sik 50's bike...black powdercoated motor frame, nice! Hey pelikan not to talk smack but you couldn't even park you 50 in your yard!! 25 inches x 25 inches?! Just kidding sure you ment 25 feet you sould be able to hook up a fun track in that area couple jumps, little straight nice sweeping berm!!
O yea the pic.....

25x25 inches wont get you much :laughing
but his track is alot bigger than that, he's got like 4 acres, so the small track isnt built out of nessesity.
i dont know how small you could make a 50 track, i can barely ride a 50 cause i'm 6'6".
check out "Crusty 8" for some ides about a small 50 track. that video has some sick 50 sceens, and sick street stuff too, a few of the SBF guys are in it.
Jeff
Im sure he ment 25 feet by 25 feet which still is not alot to work with.

can a 50 climb stairs? it looks tall enough but maybe not long enough? I seen enough on that fast50s site to know it can do plenty in the dirt and my motard plans are fading for now, where I could justify this instead. at least be able to hide it easier :twofinger dang, I have never been a honda man before.
