How does this bike compare to a DRZ400SM?

Tons more power, lighter, more intensive maintenance, possibility of gettin reg yanked.

I would think as long as you were going to stay in the City or track that would be a fun bike. Wouldn't want to have to actually get anywhere on that thing but for it's intended purpose it's probably a ton 'o fun.
I wouldn't want to have to do that much maintenance for a street bike, but that's just me.

WR is Yamaha's Enduro bike, which means it's based off the YZ MX bike, they add front and rear lights, E start, stator & battery, typically slightly lower peak HP than MX bike
basically, that's a race bike and DRZ is definitely a street bike...that bike will outperform DRZ in every way, with the possible exception of being able to ride legally on the street if the plate gets yanked...one question to ask is, is the reason he's selling is because he got a notice in the mail from DMV telling him to turn in his plate....

Thanks for the replies.
I will definitely ask if his reg. is getting yanked. Hopefully he won't lie. Would there be anyway I could check that myself if I have the VIN or plate #? Is this bike a Green sticker for the dirt?
Also how much maintenance are we talking here?

Also, how would this bike perform on the freeway. Possibly change the sprokets? I would probably just use it for short trips to the hills, or maybe my 10mi. commute to work?
You can call the dmv with a vin or plate and after navigating their menu talk to a real person. If you get the right one and sweet talk 'em they will tell you all kinds of stuff, but especially what fees are owed and whether or not the plate is legit. If you get a cranky one hang up and try again.:twofingerdmv
I call them before I buy anything car or bike and it has saved me from some disasters.

About the maintenance, is it just oil changes often. Or more than that. I know b/c it is a dirt bike, and they don't go long distances, so the service intervals are more frequent, but how bad is it?
