I lived in Seattle for many years, and loved crossing Puget Sound on the ferry system. If you've ever ridden the WS ferries, you know that the ride is normally pretty smooth. Not sure that a moto would stay upright in the deck under these conditions.

I don't know, never seen it done there. Usually it's just leave it in gear and on the sidestand rather than centerstand, but those are pretty unusual conditions.
I was on the Bremerton ferry once in the early 80's in my cage. It was one of those huge windstorms that knocks out power all over the place. The car was on the upper deck of the super ferry, about 5 cars back from the front, and we were getting the windshield washed down occasionally from bow waves, but those photos look worse than that. Must have been a rough ride!
