I guess that you need to be a little older to recognize Eric Clapton's voice, or live in the Tenderloin to recognize a tranny! Sorta strange that in today's world, people get thrown off by things that would never have been an issue previously.

Damn I'm glad someone finally pointed this out.
"Most" of the vocals for that song were sung by the bassist, Jack Bruce.
He also wrote the riff used throughout the song.
