What will this Suzuki DRZ400 Athena 440 434 Big Bore Kit DRZ400 do to a stock motor in terms of performance?Any downside?

Ooh, KBaeta had a 440 kit on his bike. Notice I said "had".

Actually, I have a 435 kit in my 350. You just have to maintain the bike, make sure that everything is in tip top shape.

Athena is the best in my opinion. Id get a carb first though, its about the same money, a little less. More bang for your buck, and shouldnt affect reliability. You'll just torch more gas :flame

An alternative formula would be to sell your DRZ, combine that money with the cash you would spend on a big bore kit, FCR39 carb, time, labor, tuning and buy a bike that comes stock with a bigger motor cajones you desire.

Yes, but you'd want to mod that too.
