Hey I have a question about bike communications, I know about the starcom and the autocom systems and such, but I was wondering is there just a simple system that I can get to use just a cb radio?

I just want a simple way to have a cb radio, and helmet headset/mic set, and be able to talk to my friends who have cb's in their trucks and such.

is there a way to just connect straight to the CB radio, and get like a PTT button without having to get an expensive thing like a starcom1?

and alsoooooo, what is the best cb system for a bike.

...p.s. cb cb cb cb cb cb cb cb seee bee

Truck Drivers with Bear reports would be kewl. Heh Truck drivers babe alert :laughing
They have those CB radios with all the controls and speaker in the Mic. That would be good system on a motorcycle. The main body of the CB can be mounted under the fairings and the Mic on the dash. Antenna concealed under the fairings. Heh hang a flag off the nine foot wipe antenna. Kill the battery in ten seconds firing up the 1000 watt linear. :teeth
Crank up the volume and just listen while riding. Can see coming off a freeway on to city streets. The volume would too loud. Have that little extra turning the volume knob on the off ramp.
No familiar with helmet speakers.

You may want to upgrade to a Goldwing. I believe they come with CB radios. :thumbup

I can't imagine why you would want to be yaking to truckers while riding on a Sprotbile, but I hope it works out for you.

when askin the trucker up ahead if
there is police up ahead?:x

Chatterbox for the rider, GMRS two-way radios for the drivers.

The Chatterbox can also be used as an interface for your mp3 player or cell phone.

~$100 for the Chatterbox, ~$25 for a pair of GMRS radios at any Home Depot.
