I doubt that the Honda will be able to keep up with the Suzukis since the Suzukis have a history of cheating. I am pretty sure they were cheating last year, just like they were in 2005 when Mladin was running traction control when it was still illegal. Mladin's bike had TC that year and Spies' bike did not. And the AMA refused to do anything about it. That was the year that Mladin left everyone for dead pretty much every race, except Laguna where Eboz won.

American Honda Racing has really struggled since HRC dropped them some years ago. If I recall correctly, they've only won a couple of SBK races since that time, Jake's win in the second race at Miller in '06 being the most notable as the last time they won.

Perhaps they would be well-served by hiring Roland Ten Kate as a consultant, Hondas seem to have no trouble winning in WSBK.
