I'm not quite sure why Yamaha makes such ugly blinkers on the bikes, but I guess the aftermarket boys love it

Yeah, the blinkers will be gone as soon as the race plastics come in, and i'm hoping the bright orange leathers will make me more visible so people stop running into me.

I was thinking about checking out the 08 R6. I see a difference between it and the 07 but cant figure it out. At first i did not like the "V" air vent, but its growing on me.

:teeth i was checking out the Silver R6 at SJ Yamaha when my friend went there to look for his raven one...sweet effin bike man....i got an early X-Mas gift too :teeth but its for the cage

One difference is that the 2008 R6 inherited the '07's "active" intake system...ie, the variable intake tracts.

the retail cost on the Daytona evo security is like 950 the evo sport model looks the same, is better for a wider foot and is about 540

And the teardown and rebuild, the start of the bling.

For some reason every shop asks for more than MSRP when you try to throw a kid in on the deal, so I guess I'll just have to keep him. More pics to come as the teardown and rebuild move on
