traffic school ?

so the ticket finally came in the mail, it has the option for me to pay $39 and attend traffic school. however, there isnt a contact for me to inquire about location/time etc, just the address to send the check for the citation AND the class fee. so i have a few questions, 1) who do i need to contact, 2) where will the school be (violation happened down in so-cal), 3) will i be able to choose when/where to take the class....so i guess the main question is 1), anyone know who i should contact? thanks.

When you send in your fees for the fine they will send you a list of accepted traffic schools. Choose a school (many are online now), finish it by the date given and youre golden !!

So to do traffic school I have to pay the fine first??
So I have to go back to court to pay my fine and then go back again to show that I completed traffic school?

Is there anyway of doing it without going back to the court house?

You have to mail in both the fine and the traffic school fee. Complete the traffic school and send proof of completion (some schools do that for you.) There should be no reason for you to go back to court.

I think the judge said something about the traffic school fee being added into the price of the total fine?? I got a pink slip with the total amount of the fine..

yea i have to pay the fine AND the fee up front....thats OK....i HOPE it wont conflict w/ my upcoming hawaii vacation after the new years.....online school would be golden

There is some additional fee they add on top of the fine to do traffic school and then you have to pay for the traffic school, so in total you pay your fine, a traffic school fee that the courts tack on and then the $15-20 (for online traffic school) paid directly to the traffic school.

And as mentioned before, this can all be done by mail so there would be no need to go back to the court house.

Usually you have like 90 days to complete it and unless this is your second violation I see no reason why you wouldnt be able to do online which will take you virtually no time at all to complete. Tis quite simple. I've completed traffic school more than once. Or twice, or three times.
