Good evening everyone!

I've been visiting BARF pretty regularly over the last couple of days, so I'd like to say hello and introduce myself. Here's the life story:

My name is Chris, and I ride out of Boulder Creek. I commute to Alviso daily on my 04 Suzuki GSX-R 600.

I started riding on a Kawasaki Ninja 250, and I've put about 10K miles on my GSX-R over the last 8 months. I've also completed one and a half track days. I'm looking to race in the 2009 season. I've got some great track day photos courtesy of GotBlueMilk:

I do all my own wrenching, and I'm interested in contributing tech articles in the future.

Road safety is extremely important to me, but my idea of safe and the CHPs idea don't always match. So, I'm interested in traffic law, and somewhat knowledgeable in the area.

I'm looking to learn more from other people's motorcycling experience, and I think BARF is a great resource.

I hope to be able to contribute to the community!

:welcome ! I started on a Ninja250 as well. Which one were you on the track pics? #5 or #6? Either way I bet it was a blast. I haven't gone to one yet.. But again, welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay! :thumbup

Thank you!

I'm the rider in both sets of pictures. #6 was an earlier track day using stock plastics, #5 was taken later, after I fit race bodywork to my bike.

The first track day was a wonderful event, even though it was also a little stressful. My arms were still very tense while cornering. By the time the last few laps of a session were done, I was usually ready to take a rest in the paddock.

On my second track day, everything was smoother than butter. The experience was easily one of the greatest in my life.

If you can afford to go, I highly encourage it. The experience was worth far more than my bodywork. = )

Welcome to BARF! Feel free to join the Newbie rides if you don't mind letting newbies pique your brain about stuff. Sounds like you're a pretty knowledgeable guy that can really help us ahem...them out. Not that I am trying to volunteer you or anything.

Cheers!

Thanks!

If I can help out, I'd be happy to do it. I'd be really interested in gaining more group riding experience as well.
