Just got back from a chill night with a buddy around Downtown San Jose/SJSU area. I think there were at least 30 patrol cars out there, literally 3 or 4 at every intersection and at least one car at every bar that had a decent crowd.

Glad to see SJPD out their doing their thing, though I'm not sure how one of the Sgt. was standing out in the 39 degree weather in a short sleeve shirt. :shocker

Drive/ride safe everyone and happy holidays!:twofinger

I know we hooked 8 last night.

My arrest was a lady at 100+ on SR-17.

How about - Don't Drink and Drive... PERIOD!?

I see the tragic impact of this time and time again. DUIs are at an all time high right now on my military base - and it cannot continue. We've lost more lives here due to ARI (Alcohol Related Incidents, i.e. DUI) than we have in our deployments.

If you don't have "a gameplan" before you leave your house that night to party - its too late. Please have a plan on how to get home if you've had one too many...

Have a great Christmas (yes, I said Christmas) and let's welcome the New Year... safe and with our families. :)

100+ and DUI.

My coworker got one at 100+ on I680, and he was a .17!

Damn...100+ and DUI? That's gonna be a memorable experience for those two idiots. Thank you for taking them off the street! :thumbup

Well, we do what we can. Avoid the 13 is in full swing. Everyone be careful out there!

You'd think after all these years of public awareness adds and the avoid the 13 that people would finally learn not to friggin drink and drive, but noooooo

I hate to see bad shit happen to em, but better they get busted than some innocent people get hurt.

Don't work too hard!

Merry Christmas to the LEOs of BARF!

Hey, had we not stopped our person for driving at the speed that they were, they would have crashed. Instead of going to jail, they'd be going to the morgue.

Unfortunately, people do drive 100 on 17, and when they crash (after striking a deer in the road) they wonder why they’re in the hospital and a family member is in the morgue.

If you chose to go that fast, then I look forward to making your acquaintance.

I don’t go to your place of work and break the rules, so why do you get to come on my highways and break the law?

If you chose to…… Then press hard, there are four copies

Note that I did not say that I go that fast, I have seen the deer marks and even at the posted speedlimit the "giant road rats" are dangerous.
I love the corners that have skid impact marks on the SJ side of 17. The bumper grave yard North of "Valley Supprise" is looking pretty cluttered this year.
Most of my tickets on 17 are for 55-65 mph and I do press hard. Pay my fine. Go to Traffic School.

My brother in law was arrested for DUI last year during the " avoid the 13 " timeframe, and he is still paying for that one, added to the 3 days he spent in Santa Rita, a not so nice place..Don't drink and drive, not worth it.
