impressive.yep,I caught it a half mile west of the power plant in Pittsburgh,near Antioch.:cool 65 inches and 100 pounds

there are alot of sturgies up there, we used to sit up there and fish off of the 25fter untill somebody bitched the CG was alway's in there fishing spot and we got into trouble:laughing we moved about 100yards and catch more now lmao

i usually fish in the Delta in Antioch. We either go on the pier, Sherman Island, Isleton pier, or Rio Vista. We go for stripers.

What were u using grass shrimp, ghost shrimp, pile worms...?
do you catch it on boat or on shore?

we had a family friend when i was a kid who would go out and bring some real monsters home. said he only used pile worms to catch them, the guy was absolutly insane, he once cut the still beating heart out of the biggest sturgeon ive ever to this day seen anywhere and ate it:wtf he said it helped him be one with the fish and that if a big enough sturgeon ever got him it woulod do the same:rofl

lol, we did a fishing expo on the Snake, we Cought rougly a 12ft sturgie got it up to the boat and the guide hopped into the river unhooked him wraped his arms around the thing and rode it down:wow, the guide popped up 50ft up river, that was the craziest thing I have ever seen a guide do:wow

Oh does that bring back memories. My dad used to fish that same area for the same thing. Used the same bait too.

it was all filleted and passed out o a few friends,the stuff I have will be barbecued,smoked,baked,we each have around 20 pounds each between the 3 of us.it was the first one that I have caught that was legal and we may be going out again next weekend.:cool

Fishing superstition. Supposedly, if you eat the still-beating heart of a new species of fish you've caught (first one for you), then it helps you catch more of them in the future. Goddamned freaks I say, though it's probably fairly decent with some soy sauce and wasabi. :laughing :laughing
