WOW! I had a fire eel for 10 years. He was as big as a belt and very friendly. The tank lost a seam and I had to sell him to the fish store. I have a 135g now, with arowana, but was thinking of another eel. keep up the good work!

Yes, just makes a good sealed container for the mixture of Hikari kibble and Koi pellets.

Close, but not quite. Giant male Gourami. Big as the ones you'll see up at the Steinhart up in SF.

I had a Arowana I bought it the size of my pinky. When I sold that thing back to the pet store about 2 years later he's was about 2feet long!!! I had him in a 300g tank. I hope you have a lot of money for food! it's starts with guppies then baby gold fish then adult gold fish then baby mice then adult mice then I gave up and sold him back!!!! He used to jump out of the tank when I was at work he'd be out for a while I found out later they have a set of lungs.. good luck with that thing.

My eel used to jump out of my tank through very narrow openings. I would hear him flopping on the floor in the middle of the night, then I would put him back in and seal that opening. One day he jumped out when I wasn't at home, so when I got back he was a freeze dried pretzel. :cry

The tank in my old house after I first got it set up. Custom ordered 240g S&S acrylic. Sadly, it was sold with the house when I finally sold the house.
Note that little guy swimming around toward the top.

Lost him to an exended power failure, but at the five year mark he was over three feet long and a good four inches thick across the top. Mine would jump on me now and then when I'd be vac'ing the tank.
