Helmet size?

I was wondering if anyone know if an Arai small helmet is the same size as a Suomy small? I haven't tried a Suomy lid and from reading post they state that Suomy lids run half to a full size small? Just wanted to see if this is true.

well no experience with those, but i have tried a suomy large and and an arai large. imo, the arai feels less comfortable than the suomy. first time i tried the suomy on, i was set on it. extremely comfortable, yet a bit tighter than the arai (but a snug fit is what you want anyway at first). i'm guessing the size difference is somewhere between 1/4" to 1/2".

Different Brands of Arai Fits differently for me. For instance:

Arai Quatum II - Large
Arai RX7 Corsair - Medium

Suomy Extreme - Large

So the Quatum lines of Arai are the same size for me as Suomy. However i feel like i can use bigger cheek pads for both. RX7's I wear a size smaller and though they feel quite smug in the beginning, the break in real nice and after a year they feel a little loose. Suomy has higher density liners so they break in less than arai but i haven't worn my suomy long enough to really break them in.

Just J........ucdoughboy..:thumbup...Thanks for the info. I do believe that my best shot would be to try one on. All the manf. state my size is a xs from there measurement. but s has actually fit the best snug and firm from different brands..:teeth
