Bob's Strip Karaoke!!

Well, not really strip, but it can be if you want it to be. You just might not get to stick around for very long. :laughing

I just went to Bob's (ex911) karaoke show last Saturday at the Acapulco on Lawrence Expy for the first time. I must say it was awesome!! So many great singers were there! And Bob does an awesome job with the rotation and possibly one of the only KJ's that actually takes the time to tune the sound to each individuals voice to the songs!! The whole night sounded great! It was tons of fun!!

Every one MUST check out Bob's show, 9pm every Saturday at the Acapulco Restaurant!! (1299 Lawrence Expy, Santa Clara) Definitely some fun times!! :thumbup The bar has a pretty decent selection as well for those of you that like to listen rather than sing. :)

Especially the one where she slid up next to some unsuspecting guy, sang along for a few seconds, then snatched the mike and walked away with it. That guy just stood there like :wtf for a minute. That alone made my night. :rofl Very ballsy and totally awesome.

Okay, I was the first to put in my song requests, Save a Horse being one of them. I'm there for an hour and a half!! 3 people go up to sing in that time. I'm like :wtf So, just as I was telling Bob what song I was going to sing next, (save a horse), I suddenly hear it start playing. I look up, and realize they gave my song to the wrong person! I jumped up there and told the DJ, hey! That's my song, I look over just as I hear the guy standing up there saying "Uh? What song is this? I don't know this song?" Then he starts trying to sing it anyway. so I figure, alright I'll just sing with him. Then he started butchering it, so I grabbed the mic. :laughing

Besides, when Bob and I ditched the bad KJ at Khartoums and headed to the Red Stag for real karaoke we ran into the guy outside, he was cool with it, he actually laughed about it for a while and told us to come back next week when the regular karaoke dj is there.

I sort of figured it was something like that (that car bomb really did me in and I was half drunk). It's more fun to think of you as a karaoke bandit though. :p
And I did notice how bad the kj was there that night. It's usually a lot better with more people singing. Audibly, too.

I know!! I was screaming as loud as I could into that damn mic and you could barely hear me. That sucked. Karaoke was way better at Red Stag, plus the KJ, Paul, is really cute over there. :teeth

But you can all still consider me a Karaoke Bandit, Hell! That sounds way better than DancingQueen, maybe I should change it. :rofl:cool

i disagree...people who sing karaoke well is better for my ears. (Least it shows some dedication to something...)

People who sing the suck hurt my ears and then they suck so bad that they try to go over the top bad to save face...as if to say, "I sing horribly! Might as well blow it and try to save face...and use the I was drunk excuse"
