Web browsers keep crashing..both IE and Firefox

Both my browsers keep on crashing. Doesnt matter which one.

I have a feeling that the problem is more then software. I have been having numerous issues with my laptop (Acer Aspire 5672 2 gig ram)

Im also getting a Memory dump error.

constant crashing upon start up.

unstable shut downs.

I cleaned up my registery.
I ran viruse scanners.
I updated my bios
I checked my memory. One seems to be fried.

Just some thoughts...

1) Proceed with a system restorte (go back to a point that you know the system was running well.

2) Do the things you did

3) If any software was added between the system restore creation point and when it occurred...install software one by one and then repeat the steps you did to ensure all is well

4) If you suspect a virus/spyware is the cause, there are web-based apps which can perform the check.
