That is sweet, I never noticed that RS50s had single sided swingarms.

Yes, they are. From what I understand this RS50 was imported from Italy, not one that was sold here in the US. For that reason, I assume it will present some problems @ the dmv. I dont claim to know every thing.....
Just my thoughts.
If Im not mistaken the US version has a double sided swing arm. (may have just been the later ones.) But Im not a Aprilia expert, so dont quote me..

Possibly the swing arm is after market?
I checked the spec's & it states "Double member swing-arm in high strength steel with hydraulic monoshock."

looked like a single sided swingarm to me...I think the bike IS plated...isnt it? if not couldnt be that hard to plate...just get some stupid young girl at the DMV to say its ok...

All pre 98 RS50s come with a single sided swingarm. They changed it to the std arm in 99.

this RS cannot be plated..Wrong amount of Vin #'s..It throws up a red flag instantly on DMV screen.. :(
