I've been trying to get my ill fitting crap eRacings fairings to stay on my 600RR and am about to take a hammer to these thick inflexible PsOS.

I've been using the .5" standard D ring posts, but they're just not long enough to get through these thick skins. I've even squeezed down the springs and got some to work, but the last few are beyond hope.

Anyone know where I can get .6 or .7 posts locally or suggest another option (other than zip ties)? I can't even find the longer ones on line anywhere.

If Frey Racing is still around they should be able to hook you up. Depending what kind of Dzus you need.

Try Pennisula Honda Ducati. Ask to take a look at the black (Ducati 999) dzus. It comes in 2 different lengths.

Good luck!!!

+1 on Frey - a quick Google search shows they're still in the South Fremont / Milpitas area.

Thanks to Rob's recommendation years ago, Frey actually got me out of a bind a while back when I needed something and had no time to order it.

I bought the Ducati ones from HPD and they didn't work.

I'm about to get a really big stapler...

Are they old e-racings? I have now 5 sets and only 1 sucked... Almost gave up on em but the last few rocked silly I know try to promote them a little.. Sucks your having issues.. I had fit issues but no problems with the dzus stuff fitting.. My skins are not thick at all.. well not thin either just about the same as any other set I have ever had... sounds like maybe the clip are thin?

I'll try that this weekend. Trouble is the fit on these things is so bad that I dread taking them off again. It's such a PITA getting them back on. I've got them almost buttoned up save for two of the fasteners. Zip ties are beginning to look really good to me...

I'm using the standard LP clips with .5 posts.

The eracings were cheap, so I shouldn't complain. You get what you pay for in this life. I'm old enough that I should know that by now.

And just cuz e-racings helps me is not why I chimed in... I have 4 or 5 sets an dthey all fit fine but one set up... I fixed so it is good now but it was a issue and now the newer stuff is great for me anyway... Easy to put on an doff too... -Craig

Yeah it's my first time, but I'm not totally inept. :teeth

For example my tank cover would not fit properly and reach all the mounting holes. No way. It was like trying to squeeze baby diaper around a fat chick. I had friends lay on it, etc.; no way. I finally had to drill the holes a bit off center and go with a slimmer screw on two of the points to get it to work.

The tail was fine. The upper was slightly too small to get all the way up to meet the tank cover. The lower seems a bit too small as well as is grazing the pipe in one spot. I covered it with heat tape.

I'm gonna look for some of those other fasteners. Maybe it's just the LPs.

I don't really care how it looks; just want it to stay on.

just use your stock screw for the tank cover that mount on to the upper, you dont even need fastener.

I have been working with E-Racings since I started road racing. I am confident I bring them business for sure.

I do not ask anyone for anything discount or otherwise unless I really know I can for sure help them.

Even a small discount has to payed for in retail sales driven by you. Too often people want discounts without ensuring the company can continue on. (Just giving discounts or free products will put a business "out of business" fast with no return)

As I said I aslo worked with them giving them feedback on the first set of bodyworks and what was needing to be changed IMO anyway...

They are great people to work with and I am happy with there products and I am confident it is the best for me. And on top of all that I am proud to run there stuff.

As far as getting sponsored by them I recommend you getting a bunch of sales headed towards them and make sure they know you sent the people there.

That is the only way to do it at my business, I help people only if they can drive sales to us... A $30 discount should have a return of $90 at a minimum. (Basic business stuff) Basically it is WAAY more about what can you do for them .. than what they can do for you.

If I am sure they will represent us well and promote for us is most important. I do look at if they are fast.. I will help a beginner who will promote well before a pro that is killing it on the track... For years I have gotten alot of help just cuz people like me or I work well for what they need... Ok enough babbling here... Gotta get back to my lady and our movie.
