Hey folks,

I'm moving out of my current place into a new one at the end of the month and my current roommate/best friend is not moving with me - his girlfriend is all too happy to take my spot at our old house.

So, anyone looking to rent a room in Emeryville or Jack London Square/downtown Oakland?

I've been looking at nice, well appointed condos in the 2400-2800 range. I'll be paying the majority of rent at 1500-1600, so I'll probably claim the good stuff like the master bedroom. Otherwise, these places all have really nice setups, parking, etc... This is a good way to get into a luxury apartment at a pretty cheap rate because, well....rent is getting ridiculous these days.

Let me know if you're lookin, I need to move at the end of the month. (February!)

More information, because that might be useful:

Me: 25 year old, recent Cal graduate - have been riding for about 4 years. Very active, you can typically find me doing something outside, in a gym, or somewhere crazy 2-4 hours a day. Started my own business after graduating so now I work way too much, but on the weekends you might find me in SF with a few friends at a bar or club. I like having a couple people over to hang out every now and then but would rather party somewhere else. No drugs, and I'll be adopting a dog sometime in the next couple months.

The place: I have my eye on a few, but number 1 on the list: 3 bedroom penthouse condo, two secured garaged parking spots. 1600+ square feet, 9 foot ceilings, two full bathrooms. Hardwood floor throughout except in bedrooms, with granite countertops and stainless appliances. Bay view from the 7th story...You would be responsible for 1200 of the rent, and would have your own bed, bath, parking space, and access to everything else. Building has a courtyard, bbq grill, and fitness center.
