Pandas are great starters for those intending on building out a real runner, for example all thats left of my original one at this point is the frame and reg. It was worth it for me just for that. Not sure i would have gone the same way with a more expensive OEM Honda monkey

Yup. I'd call it 'the' way to go. If you really want to, you could swap frames when the whole thing's done, but who cares. Love my Panda frame :)
