So I'm getting around to ordering new tires and in the process of perusing dunlopracing.com (http://dunlopracing.com/fitment.htm), I found out they have a new front slick size for big bikes: 125x80/17. Since I was planning on resetting my bike's (F4i) geometry anyway, I figured I'd try it out. Does anyone have experience with these fronts yet? It looks like the rear will be wider than what I have as well, but I've run 190's before. I'm liking the pointier features, but have just a bit of concern of additional rotating mass, as Dunlops tend to be kinda porky compared to other brands.

we've been using that slick size for 2 seasons @ the AMA level. call steve brubaker @ race tire services @ 8007728473. he'll tell you what you need to know and put you in touch with steve knard, the louden rep. i wouldn't worry about increased MoI with the bigger tires @ the club level.

I used the 125/80 on my ex500, and my new ex650. I haven't had any issues. Even though it's supposed to be more of a narrow profile to give increased contact patch at lean, it doesn't feel like it falls in any more than the 120/70.
