The site is now live

UPDATE:

ONLINE registration now live and available on http://cmrraendurance.com/

All links are now live.

Justice London (CMRRA racer and owner of www.promisehosting.com ), has generously offered to host http://cmrraendurance.com/ and help point the site directly to the main site (so you don't have to have the splash page with the ENTER button).

Note to sponsors (or potential sponsors):
This is now really happening so it's time to step up.
Some sponsors are already committing to their respective tiers (which will be posted in the Sponsorship section on the site). Companies who have expressed interest in sponsoring this even MUST choose and meet a tier requirement or their logo will be removed from the site.

I will make a separate post when more details are settled on, but this looks to be a charity event! Yes, someone loves this organization (CMRRA), racing, pain, and animals enough to run the whole 8 hours on their own! Someone is going to run the whole 8 hours solo for charity and is looking for people to pledge sponsorship. The support will be going to Pitbull Rescue San Diego to help take care of and find homes for all the neglected and abused Pits out there that need our love!

Any amount would be appreciated, nothing will be turned down. Again, the details have not been settled yet, but I want to get the word out as early as I can about this. If you have any questions, please contact me!

Oh, that crazy rider would be me. So if anyone has any good knowledge on how to train for an event like this, let me know! I plan to develop a training plan similar to what endurance bicycle racers use as I figure it would be the most fitting. This will be far from easy. If any of you have ever read what Rossi said about Suzuka, then you know what I am talking about. Six-Eight lap sprint racers (normally I do four a day) is enough to leave my muscles sore for several days to a week, let alone 200-300!

Hi Everyone,

I'm helping to put this event together.

We have a dedicated website
http://www.cmrraendurance.com
that should answer any questions that you have.

We have some new exciting developments that are worth mentioning. Besides the $100 purse for the winner of each class, each winning team will also be entered in a drawing to win an entry into the CMRRA International Challenge at the Streets of Willow. In past events, teams from as far as Japan have participated in this event!

Also just added! ALL participants will be entered into a drawing to win a FULL YEAR Season Pass to Grange Motor Circuit, valued at $500. The first 30 pre-paid registrants will have 2 chances to win!

That's all for now, I'll keep you posted as many other exciting developments are in the works! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them too! Thanks.

Just a few updates:
Prize money has increased to an unspecified amount. Originally it was $100, but it looks like perhaps more sponsors have come on board and added some money to the pot. But that amount was not disclosed (possibly because it may go up again).
First 30 registrants will get a double entry into the raffle for a free year membership to Grange' (SM riders, think about that one), a $500 value!
Entry to the upcoming CMRRA Streets of Willow race in August (each winning team will have their team name drawn from a hat (or helmet) and whichever team is drawn, will win the Streets of Willow entry (for 1 class).
professional photographer(s) CaliPhotography (a reputable big-track photography company)
journalist from at least one motorcycle magazine so far, Cycle World (planning on a career in racing? Media coverage can be a powerful tool.
the film "Moto2Glory" will be shooting footage
online registration (and payment) to make it easy to sign up.
Cycle World is developing a team

Just a few things that are going on for this event. And if you don't have a bike, rentals are available so you can develop your own team (and split the cost of the rental). Another option is finding a team that is willing to share seat time, but that can't be promised at all.

It has been confirmed that John Burns from Cycle World Magazine will have a team. And for a little safety to make sure his team wins he is going to give a call to Kevin Schwantz for back up. Looks like Team Max (my friends team) is going to have a good fight. I bet Young is faster though

It's confirmed!

John Burns, motorjournalist for Cycle World WILL BE RACING! He said maybe he'll call up Kevin Schwantz just to make sure we win, so you all better hope he's not serious.

Not sure what they are going for, I am really hoping for stock 50 which is what Team Max is riding.
