Are there any local shops in the Bay Area you all recommend for parts? EMA is pretty good and I have been to Road Rider in SJ.

What about online? I've had decent luck with Indysuperbike.com Any others you like?

Parts like Chains/sprockets/batteries/bar-ends/levers..stuff like that.

We order stuff from Vortex and similar companies about 1 timer per week for all the racers we help out... If you need something just pm us.

Try morepowerracing.com

Call them up because they carry or can get just about anything you need. Great customer service, fast shipment, and free shipment.

Let them know that Matt with CODE4 racing refered you.

best wishes

I'm curious why you need a special shop for staple breadnbutter parts like chains, sprockets and batteries?

I order all my race parts from Santa Clara Cycles Accessories... They seem to find the lowest price on the part i need, and deliver next day if not same week.
The OEM parts usually take 5working days but everything else comes 1-2 days :thumbup

Agreed. This doesn't really sound like a "racing parts" kind of question.

The most important thing a shop could do for me as a racer was to get me those must-have parts in a prompt fashion. That happens when you get to know and develop a good customer / dealer relationship with the people at the shop.

The guys at my local Cycle Gear really helped me out when I was racing - two of the guys there were club racers themselves. I can't remember how many next-day orders I had to place to get my bike together at the last minute. They knew how important it was for me to get those parts - special orders were often placed on-the-spot for me.

+1 I've been going to Scuderia for years. But they have always helped me track down odd bits and pieces even when I show up at 5:30pm on a Friday.
So I order by bits from them.
Relationships go a long way.
Do you frequent a local shop now?
Have you asked if they have any kind of racer support program?
Some shops are happy to extend small discounts to racers, and that will usually make up any difference in price an online retailer will get.

The Best source for race parts Bar None is Viets Performance. Why do I say this ? Jeff Viets is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, but what makes him great to deal with is his ability to find the right product for your application at the best price around (He makes sure you are getting exactly what you want)... He will actually make calls for you and call you back when he says he will! That is rare... Also, he's a racer and you can usually find him at track days and AFM races.

I think the site is: vietsperformance.com
