Do you have a place in mind? If so, how good are their carts? I always lose at these things at Great America because no matter how perfect my lines are, I have a lot more weight to push than the average 9 year old driving those things :(

Well off the top of my head and around the bay there are:
LeMans Karting Center in Fremont
www.lemanskarting.com
Go Kart Racer in Burlingame
www.gokartracer.com
and supposedly Speedring in Sunnyvale
I tried Go Kart Racer in Burlingame. I like the track but i swear my cart was a few too many accidents.
Indoor karting places aren't like great america or putt putt bull shit they are pretty fast and pretty fun

Or ask the place when their least-busiest evenings are for better chances at a discount. ;)

I've been to Lemans Karting in Fremont. It's pretty cool but I would suggest calling ahead to make reservations. I think I paid $60 plus $10 for your one time license.

been to lemans quite a few times, my dads friend was sponsered by them for a while. Saturday nights they have their racing leagues. best bet is to go during a weeknight. Or I think they have a lunch special as well. Keep us posted as this sounds like a great idea:thumbup

My buddy who weighs 70lb more than me can beat me almost every time. Skill is just as important as weight :p

I always want to ride minibikes on those sweet go-kart tracks.
Gokart Racer in Burlingame is the better of the two IMO.
Track surface is a little better as well are the track designs.
I'm always down for karting. Just hit me up whenever.

There's a new karting place in Livermore. I rode past it on Friday on my way to Pacheco Pass road heading out of town. Facility looks HUGE....:drool

after watching those video's. the track is not prepped and is more for the squid racer than actual person who wants to learn and Race Karts. its not about sliding its about holding your line without loosing time sliding:thumbup
i'm down Eric..just need to know when.
