Since my NRS was approaching the 6 month expiration date, and i don't currently have medical insurance i was in a bind. Then i read the section in the application where you could sign up as an associate, which means you can't race right? So i thought ok, i 'll send them the 20 bucks for the associate membership then upgrade to a competition license when i get the money. I left out the medical information page because i didn't have any and i didn't plan to race until i got it.

Just to be sure, before i sent the packet out i called the AFM number listed on the website and left a detailed message with a phone number and nobody ever got back to me. I mentioned everything in detail and asked if i needed to have medical insurance for the associate membership.

I just got the letter back in the mail saying that my medical information is missing. My NRS is now past the 6 month expiration but my initial letter was postmarked before that date. I dunno if should bother calling in. Maybe someone will see this and help me out.

Var,

I am sure you will probably get a lot of people giving you some advice on what to do. The best would be to either send an email to afm@afmracing.org (that goes to the board) or send an email to entry@afmracing.org (goes to the registration office), or call the number listed on the contact page (at the AFM website) for license race entry, restults, etc. the number is (209) 577-2001.

Yes..indeed. I don't know what's worse..sitting through the classroom or paying 100 extra dollars to not ride the whole day..see my rant in the trackdays section :laughing

Take it from a different provider. Each one has its unique style and they differ, with different instructors.

that be true, I believe with K@TT you get equal time on the track as everyone else with a three group format for the day.

This is true with Z2 as well. You ride in every A group session.
