Hey anyone out there know of a place around the Sacramento area that can sew some patches onto my leathers?? I called a place in the phone book, but they want me to bring the suit in so they can assess whether they can do it. I don't have a problem with that, but just wanted to know if someone might have a recommendation before I head over there. Thanks. :teeth

Barbara in modesto is reasonable and does a good job. her number is 209-534-1399 - her son used to race and she made/repaired his leathers, then started doing it for his friends. has done a good job for me and others.

hmmm.....modesto huh? Cool, thanks. I'm hoping to find a shop more local to me, but I'm willing to consider places that come recommended by others over the the distance I have to travel. Thanks man. :thumbup

I've used a shoe repair place to get some patches put on. Any place with a machine that can saw through leather should be able to do it. The one I went to was in the Bellair shopping plaza by Sunrise and Coloma area.

Right on. Thanks Martin. That pretty much sounds like the place that I found to do it. It's some leather alterations place in Folsom.

try "the leather guy", he's here on barf, so just do a search for his name. You'll have to call and make an appointment, but he does really good work, and has repaired my 1 piece many times, as well as replaced defective zippers on a few of my jackets.

Richard Lee is his name as well.

don't have his phone number off hand.

I also found a small leather shop on Mission st and Corrland or Kingston st (which are crosstreets) the guy charged very little and is a shoe repair spot. if I remember name of place I'll post it.

cheers

Hey Brian, I can't thank you enough for recommending this guy!

I took my stuff into him tonight fully expecting to just show him where I wanted the patches and then coming back in a few days or so to pick it up. Well he proceeded to take the first patch, place a bit of adhesive to hold it, and then take the suit over and sew it on! Then he asked me which one was next!

He sewed every patch on right then and there on the spot! I couldn't believe it! Did I mention that I got there around 30 minutes to closing time? Did I also mention the part where he just kept asking which patch was next and kept on sewing?? :teeth

His prices were crazy too! (in a "i can't believe it's not butter" sort of way!) I spotted him a decent tip just because I was in utter amazement at that level of customer service.

If you're at B-willow, swing by the RV parking area. Look for the Code4 bikes and I'll have some extra cold "thank you's" on hand! :thumbup
