I too have several 70 toons in WoW and was looking for a distraction and bought Tabula Rasa. I wasn't really all that impressed. I dont know the concept is pretty neat and all. I guess i'm just too set in my WoW interface. I run several add-ons that make it soo much nicer to play WoW with. And not having them probably detracted from my TB experience.

If you want Bill I can lend yah my copy of it and you can see for yourself.

BTW if you are looking for a pretty decent distraction from WoW. I suggest Warcraft3 custom map DotA: Defense of the Ancients. You will need Frozen Throne to play it.

Azuremyst -- main here. alliance
Proudmoore -- kind of stalled on this one, our guild moved to Azuremyst about a year ago when they had free transfers due to over populated realm, couldnt transfer over one alt cause they had issues then the deadline passed
Bronzebeard -- here too, our guild was going to start a horde guild here, never really took off.

might start one on Whisperwind, have a friend that plays on that server

My guild has been looking at warhammer.. well only like 3 members.. the rest are in wow. WE had a few in EVE but eve membership died. Died so bad taht the guy who dissed wow all the time finally started to play wow.

if you were a fan of Homeworld i can recommend Sins of a Solar Empire to keep you distracted until WAR is finished.

I've got an 3000+ Apocalypse Ork Speed Freak army with Baneblade and eventual Skullhamma in the works, maybe a Gargant or two to up the points value.

I wish I could play more, but lately the people who I've played against were just asshats.

Though back on topic, a friend wanted me to check out Tabula Rasa. I couldn't get into it when I played a demo, I'm more or less dedicated to City of Villains/Heroes and I'm about to cancel my WoW account since that games getting into a boring grind fest.

I've been an Ork player for freakin forever!? I started off as Blood Angels, but found them to be a bit. . .lacking. Besides nothing beats 30+ Bikers followed up by a hard as hell Warboss PK wielding psycho with an equally tough group of Nobs in a Battlewagon, though people are seeing through that tactic now. . . :rofl

I don't have any pictures of my Gargants yet, I've been butching city fight buildings and bashing spare kits I have laying around.

Ah man I've seen that Gargant, its freakin awesome. I want to make one like that, perhaps one day.

Mek Gargant is killer, the freakin Lift Droppa arm is insane. Nothing like tossing a Land Raider on top of another Land Raider, scoring double penetrations and watching them both explode as the occupants go up in smoke. :rofl

Any of you board-gamers play Battlefleet Gothic? It was a Man 'O War (also a great game) spin-off based on 40k instead of Fantasy Battle.

i never needed to buy any of the fleets, though. a friend of mine was so into BF:G that he had 2-3k point armies for every race. hehe. in other words -he went overboard with it.

not to be outdone, another friend of mine HAND MADE his Man O' War Empire and Ork fleets. 2k pts each.

and as far as WoW goes, i'll chime in. It's nothing special. I dislike dungeon raiding (8 hours for a 1 in 20 chance of maybe getting to possibly have a chance to roll for gear? no thanks) and never could commit enough time to PvP to earn the points for the Purple Stuff. Same with Rep grinding. So the gear i have on isn't anything fancy. regardless, i had fun while i played.

i got into the Man O' War cause i was personally invested - i built my own Dark Elf Black Arc with sculpting clay and leftover metal/plastic tidbits from 40k and FB.
