Out for a put, cruising along minding my own biz. Guy in a black jeep decides he wants my attention. Starts speeding up, slowing down, changing lanes, acting erratic. Ok dude you got my attention, I see you. He's looking at me in his mirrors and through his passenger window. I keep my pace for a bit thinking he's going to get tired of this game because I'm not biting. Now other traffic is clearly getting annoyed by this nonsense. I slow down 5mph and tuck in behind a crew cab truck, driver nods in understanding at me in the rear view mirror. Jeep dude continues to act like an ass. At this point I'm seriously consider pulling off and waiting for him to move along, but also concerned about him whipping a u-turn and coming back. Sirens and lights behind me roll up on him, I've never been happier to see highway patrol pull off another motorist. :thumbup What could I have done different? I'm not sure if this guy wanted to race, liked my ponytail or both.

Stalker. He wanted your attention. Ignoring him was the best thing to do.

:rolleyes

I usually just pass them, if they can't keep up, they're not worth it. :teeth :twofinger

good to not completely ignore them...if they're erratic, you want to know where they are.

I had a similar situation a while back. I was riding home after my shift and saw the same idiotic behavior by a bunch of guys in a lifted truck with NV plates. I pulled them over to give them a "WTF" are you doing chat. Everyone in the truck was drinking..... I called the local PD to assist me (I was waay out of my jurisdiction) Driver went to jail for DUI,, truck got towed and passengers were turned into pedestrians (They were HBD,, not 647F). The driver of the truck had a BAC of .22. Dumber than a box of rocks.....

When you get out of town, to another town that doesn't have motors, do you find people are blind to your presence? Do you get a WTF look when lighting them up? Or are they just blind all the time...

Bruce H used to laugh when he was a CHP motor and commuting on the bike (kinda the deal for commuting was to scratch one each way, so some of the miles would be "enforcement" and not commute). Out where there are NO CHP on bikes, he'd get a lot of :wow:wow:wow and "you can't write a ticket out here". Uh-huh, watch me.

Ignoring is never a good thing ! Thats why, if I am in an area I am familiar with, I will just take it up a notch long enough to make em feel like theyre playing and then bam, exit, toodle about on surface streets for a bit and then get bak on the freeway. Now, if this occurs on surface streets, I get way back, I do not and will not oblige someone. I've seen way too many bad things happen.

When a motorist realizes I'm from Rancho,, and were out in Placer County somewhere, I do get the "I didn't know you could cite out here". A buddy of mine on his way home had a guy blow past him at 90+. Guy said "I saw you, I just didn't think you could write cites out here on the freeway". "Yes sir we can,, sign here".
