not sure where to put this but i need some advice on this.

i filed small claims on a guy that hit my parked car and refused to pay me. went to court on January 21st 2008. Judgement was made on jan 31. i know there is 30 days for the other party to appeal so i have waited almost a month. THis weekend will be 30 days so i was wondering what is the next step in trying to collect my judgement. i should ask him to voluntarily to pay me by either calling him or sending a letter? if he doens't respond to anything what to do nexT?

do i go file somehting in court for his assets? any information or help would be great thanks

i actually did read everything on the judment collection but i just had a few questions to ppl who had went thru this if not. i am not sure how to go further with the case. so next week since its been 30 days i will be writing a letter contacting the debtor to pay me. if he doesn't pay then i will have to file more paperwork. but is there a certain time period to allow him to pay me. or if he doesn't pay me within the week i can go file some paperwork to see his assets and such. i am not sure since its a little confusing on the website.

I agree. Google gives me headaches. You have to read 100X as much to get your single question answered. Info from people is best. Good luck, wish I had info to share with you, but I don't.
