First car was a '65 convertible. 389/4 speed/tri-power. Dad sold it before I got my license. Saved my life.

Back in the day I wanted a Goat so bad. A dealer allowed me to take out a 64 white GTO 389 with 3/2s for two days for a test drive. My Dad was living in Newark and I drove it there hoping he would co-sign for me, he declined. In a way I'm glad, I would have wrapped it around a pole in no time racing it. I also wanted a RoadRunner in 68, they were for sale for $3K back then. Thats when gas was $.35 a gallon and you can get 110 octane. I wound up with a new 68 VW for $1,795 and went to college. Boring.
