Say, is old Gabe covered here?

"Hello, State Farm? The Bimmer seems to have side-swiped a couple cars. Uh-huh, yeah, no- no one was hurt. Where do they send their claims?"

A driver wanted on warrants for failing to appear in court is in the custody of Marin County authorities after he was arrested following a pursuit through Marin and Sonoma counties this afternoon.

Gabriel Adami, 43, possibly from Danville, was arrested by California Highway Patrol officers in Santa Rosa after he crashed his 2006 BMW 325 Series vehicle in the center divide of northbound U.S. Highway 101 near Airport Boulevard around 3 p.m., CHP Sgt. Robert Mota said.

Mota said the Marin County Sheriff's Office was investigating Adami for stalking and making criminal threats and had warrants for his arrest for failing to appear in court for possession of a firearm and criminal threats charges.

When Marin County authorities tried to arrest Adami around 2 p.m., he fled south on U.S. Highway 101 toward the Golden Gate Bridge, Mota said. The sheriff's department terminated the search when they lost sight of Adami, Mota said.

A Marin County CHP officer spotted Adami's BMW on northbound U.S. Highway 101 and pursued him. A CHP helicopter also monitored the pursuit, Mota said.

Adami then headed south toward Marinwood before driving northbound onto U.S. Highway 101 where CHP officers from the Santa Rosa area picked up the chase in Sonoma County, Mota said.

The chase ended around 3 p.m. when Adami crashed his BMW in the center divide of the highway near Airport Boulevard. He surrendered without incident, Mota said.

Adami was taken to the Marin County CHP office and turned over to authorities, Mota said.

Several cars received minor damage when they were hit by Adami's BMW during the pursuit but there were no injuries, Mota said.

The perp isn't covered. Many vehicle insurance policies devote a page (or two or three) of fine print to exclusions.

You'll see language embedded in your policy similar to:

"Anyone who contributed to his or her injury/collision by operating an auto (a) while under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or a narcotic drug, (b) while committing a felony or seeking to avoid arrest by a police officer, or (c) with the specific intent of causing injury to himself, herself or others."

Other things you should personally watch out for on stock policies:

- If you leave your cell or mp3 player and/or CDs/DVDs, they may not cover theft of those items.
- If you're using it for work purposes
- If your vehicle gets contaminated by nuclear material :cry

There was something similar to that with cell insurance, something like if it gets blow up in an nuclear explosion it wasn't covered :rofl

Acts of War or Acts of God. No mention of the Acts of a War God are excluded, tho. Like the example above, that would be a blast.

Not covered - in violation of the law at the time of the incident. Pretty standard insert in most policies.

Woah Nellie. How would ANY claim get made then, if the policy holder had an at-fault accident? (Presuming they must have done something unlawful to be found at fault).
