Starlane 3R GPS timer help needed

I recently picked up a Starlane GPS 3R timer. Works great BUT, I can not get the bluetooth connection established to my laptop, or any other computer. This is despite taking it to two "computer guy" friends, using 3 different computers. Anyone have experience with this unit, specifically getting the bluetooth connection correctly established?

Took me quite a while to get mine working, so I feel your pain.

What finally did it for me was uninstalling all of the IBM bluetooth drivers that came with my computer, letting Windows do the bluetooth connection for itself. i.e. I can now go into Control Panel and see a "Bluetooth Devices" item, where I can set access options.

Shoot me a PM with the make/model/Operating System of your computer and I'll see if I can figure out if you would have a similar problem, and what specifically to uninstall.
