Thinking about selling it.... I know it cant be done anymore and I think Id regret selling it but if I have some seriously interested party I may consider it.
88 kit, BBR SP5 forks, iShock, SDG tall seat, Baja Kit w/ LED turns/brake rear, street tires, etc. Currently registered til June 08 I think, clear title pink in hand.
Any interest?
Since I gotta post a price how about $2400.... partial trade towards newer 600cc bike or newer DRZ or similar dual sport... ca plated.

Hehe oh ya its tons of fun... Id love to keep it and put a manual clutch 110 with superhead and 5 speed tranny and have that thing rippin around on the highway at 70.... its licensed as a full size motorcycle legal on the freeway, requiring your M1 :D

What is it registered as? Even with street reg, a 50cc isn't hiway legal is it?

The DMV has no idea its a 50cc. They were advised of it, hell they saw the bike. It is registered as it is, correct vin, everything is legit. I went down to DMV, said I want to street legal this bike, with my brake/light etc, they saw it, and gave me plates and issued new title etc. This was in like 05 right before seat height laws etc were passed that make doing this now impossible.

Not to derail the topic too much, but to answer your question, no, this bike is not freeway legal, because it is under the cc limit law. IIR, the cc limit law is 175cc. Therefore, anything under 175cc, is only street and (some) highway legal. By Highway, ie; Highway 9 or similar.

good luck with the sale :)

Im aware of that, but something on the title was marked incorrectly or during the application process which made it come out as being a full size bike. I am required to have my M1 as opposed to M2 for it. I cant remember what it is as I dont have my title here in front of me.
Now if I was on the freeway and pulled over and the officer knew that specific CVC then he could most definately cite me for it.
