has anyone own/owned these jackets before? i'm trying to decide between the two, and can't make up my mind still :dunno i read somewhere that the Newsan model has a 'bubble' liner (?). it supposedly keeps the rider cool when its hot, and warm when its cool...

anyways i'd appreciate any reviews on these jackets.

I vote the Santa Monica jacket. Its all about personal preference.

Either way I'd say your choice in brand is excellent.

Dunno from those Dainese jackets. But if you're looking for a good leather perforated jacket with good Knox armor, RideGear has the Teknic Violator (http://www.ridegear.com/rg/item/F-42849/Teknic/Violator-Jacket.html) on closeout. It's my daily jacket, and I recommend it highly. Woman-specific, so they make sizes that fit small people well. Between the venting and the zip-out thermal liner, it's very versatile.
