we had already done some speed runs down "the backyard pipeline" and got kicked out.

so went to Jurassic Park instead. mix of wide open trail, hill and dale, grassy knolls, streams and stuff.

Pelikan says let's rock

this section was pretty technical, tight as a mother.

oh yeah, had to clear some trees both riding under, then another had to drag the bikes either over or drag it sideways in the mud. narrow rock climbs where even the fiddy's had trouble passing.

Jurassic Park is bad ass.

basically a goat trail deep in the woods :wow people would have trouble hiking this sh#t! but we soldiered on through the rocky bumpy narrow trails. crossed all kinds of homemade bridges over litle streams. there was some parts had cool homemade fences on one side, big ass tree branches on the other. one at a time.

we got stopped here cause it was just twisted trees beyond and you'd have to crawl through...

all around us just black ass night

another shot showing rock to stream height

trust me, there was a single track hugging the mountainside we did later and came so close to sliding down maybe 150 ft. :wow

Pelikan, I never woulda' done that shit w/o you!

we also took another fork in the trees and that sh#t took us even deeper into the canyon. that's where I cased it climbing a log and the plate sounded out "CLANK" loudly :laughing

Jungle freaking warfare I tell you. Coulda' been the Ozarks or the Sierras I don't know since I never been in the woods like this on a bike before.

We found a loose pack park and I don't know just somehow ended up dirt track racing each other putting down mad circles! :toothless That's when the second person complained and was calling the cops on us. so we split. now we know da' rules and how to handle this place for next time. but gotta' let it cool off.

Pelikan's fiddy post mission

my fiddy post mission. I love this little monster and now have some really super memories of us two laughing crazily, hooting and hollering at the moon as we raced down the dark dirty trails like kids :teeth I ate dirt once (ptui), got some stream splash too (blech), crapped in my pants at the tippy top of the singletrack ( :barf ), then crapped it again having to turn around on basically a magnatronic steep incline with the freaking path only like 6" wide and drop off cliff with my foot already sliding down the freaking slippery weeds... ah shit, next you be there and you find out!

damn, that shit was a freakin' blast. i got home and my adrenaline was still pumping. that singe track stuff was sick as shit, I'm curious exactly where it ends, I may have to take a daytime hiking mission this weekend. That place seems like it would be an awesome spot for some city hiking.

max, thanks again for picking me up and sharing your spot. it'll probably be too hot for a while, but all in due time.

oh yeah, movies like Blair Witch are all chessy untill it's just two guys, w/ 2 fiddy's surrounded by dark & wood.:teeth :teeth

dude on the steep single track with the part that was crumbling away and had a slight kink to make it worse, both our bikes dropped the rear off the trail. :wow should we have angled uphill using the non-trail part instead slightly to avoid that? I woulda' hate to slip and loose traction completely right about there (erk!).

had a bit more trouble getting back on trail than you but made it eventually. when you go in the day please don't tell me it looks worse than at night :p maybe it's good we couldn't see sh#t ya know? :toothless I have an idea where it ended up at and many more start points. totally insane though, wouldn't try it w/o a daytime hike first.

also, may not make F.O.G. Night #2 tonight, possible dinner plans now. we'll see.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwww

looks like tonight is turning out bad for everybody, including me (gotta find a truck).

anybody down for a pre-dawn ride? there is a spot near my house, but it's kinda iffy at night, too populated in the day but possibly good in the am. some good trails, hillclimbs, views, etc...

sunday AM anybody?

dangit that means I gotta' go to dinner. is ok, risked life and limb enough last night :p

sat. is the big ride so don't think can make AM. maybe scope out "Surf Trails Park" really late tonight though. :p will check in here later. run this place w/o lights should be ok, super stealth mode. check PM.
